21 Creative Texts to Make Him Chase You With Examples

Texts to make him chase you work best when they create curiosity, warmth, and emotional momentum, not pressure or mind games. If you want a man to invest more through text, the goal is not to manipulate him. The goal is to send messages that feel confident, playful, and genuinely engaging so he wants to keep the conversation going.

The best texts to make him chase you usually do one of three things: spark curiosity, invite connection, or leave a little space for him to lean in. A well-timed message can make a conversation feel exciting, while the wrong one can feel forced, needy, or easy to ignore.

In this guide, you’ll find creative texts to make him chase you, real examples for different situations, and simple tips to text in a way that feels natural, attractive, and emotionally smart.

What Does It Mean to Make Him Chase You Through Text?

Making a man chase you through text means sending messages that spark curiosity, attraction, and emotional engagement so he feels motivated to continue the conversation and invest effort.

It does not mean manipulating someone or playing confusing games. Healthy attraction grows when texting feels natural, playful, and balanced rather than one-sided or forced.

And how texting fits into the overall communication picture between two people matters more than most realize.

When your messages create a little curiosity, show genuine interest, and leave space for him to respond, conversations tend to flow more easily. He becomes more likely to reply quickly, ask questions, and keep the interaction going.

In simple terms, texting that makes him “chase” you encourages reciprocal effort. Instead of carrying the entire conversation, you create an atmosphere where both people want to contribute and connect.

5 Ways to Get a Guy’s Attention Over Text Messages

While you are in the talking phase of a relationship and want to learn more about a prospective beau, there are multiple ways to keep him interested over text.

Keep reading for a few that may be feasible in your situation and might help you learn how to make him chase you over text.

1. Think about what you want to say

One of the best tips for texting a guy you may want to keep in mind is to think about what you want to say ahead of time. Preparing can keep you from saying something that you may regret later, and it can ensure you can get out the words you want to say.

You can make notes about your ideas when communicating, which you might want to use when you don’t know what else to say. These can be random facts, funny things about yourself, or even asking the other person questions.

2. Flirt all you want to

You should also try to flirt as much as you are comfortable with. When you are flirting with a guy through text, this may be easier than doing it in person since you won’t have to watch his face while he reads your words.

It may give you more confidence to communicate the way you want to, instead of censoring yourself, which you may be prone to do in person.

There’s nothing wrong with some playful flirting, especially if the guy can keep up with your words. Flirty texts can be some of the best types of texts that will make him chase you.

3. Be yourself

Something you must keep in mind is that you should always be yourself.

If you are trying to keep a guy interested through text, there’s a good chance that you like him and want to have a relationship with him. This means when you can spend time in person, you need to be the same person he was communicating with through text.

Make sure you don’t lead him on or tell him anything that isn’t true. When you concentrate on being yourself, he will probably like what you have to say and enjoy getting to know you.

Remember that you don’t have to apologize for being yourself since much of your personality is genetic and something you can’t change. Also, if he is taking the time to communicate with you, he probably already has a good idea that he likes you.

4. Be patient

Not everyone is on the same schedule, so unless you plan to text each other at a certain time, don’t be upset if he doesn’t answer right away. He may reach out when he sees your text or when he has time to do so.

Moreover, he may not have something to say whenever he reads your text and might have to think about his reply. You don’t have to overthink the situation when you don’t get a reply back quickly.

5. Be honest

Again, it is imperative to be honest about what you say to the other person when trying to garner a relationship through text, especially when concentrating on texts to get him chasing you.

Be truthful at all times and ensure you are on the same page. You don’t want to find out later that you have nothing in common because you were stretching the truth or weren’t being straightforward with your opinions, likes, and dislikes.

21 Creative Texts to Make Him Chase You With Examples

When thinking about texts to make him chase you, variety can make a big difference. Different types of messages can spark curiosity, create playful attraction, or deepen the conversation. The key is not sending the same kind of text every time but mixing humor, curiosity, compliments, and genuine interest.

Keep in mind that meaningful communication goes beyond specific text examples. Being authentic, respectful, and attentive to the flow of the conversation often makes your messages more engaging. With that in mind, here are 21 types of texts that can help keep him interested and excited to hear from you.

1. Funny texts

One type of text message you may want to send someone is a funny text. Perhaps you heard a funny joke that day and want to share it with him. Go ahead and send it to him, and he may get a kick out of it.

Examples include:

• Did you hear about the dog that had to go to a psychiatrist? He has a ruff life!
• I told my computer I needed a break, and now it won’t stop sending me vacation ads.
• Why did the scarecrow win an award? Because he was outstanding in his field!
• I asked the librarian if the library had any books on paranoia. She whispered, “They’re right behind you.”

Tip: Humor works best when it feels natural. A light joke or funny observation can make conversations more relaxed and memorable.

2. Sexy texts

Another way that is related to how to make him want you over text is to send sexy messages when you feel like it.

It can be something relatively minor, or if you have been talking to each other for quite some time, you may be able to be a little bit racy.

Examples include:

• I had a really interesting dream about what we did last night. I hope we can act it out again.
• I can’t stop thinking about the last time we were together. It’s definitely a highlight of my day.
• I just bought a new outfit, and I can’t wait for you to see it on me.
• What do you think about a date night that involves a little bit of danger and a lot of desire?

Tip: Keep these messages respectful and appropriate for your stage of the relationship so both of you feel comfortable.

3. Leave him guessing

Another variety of texts to get him chasing you that you may want to use is texts that leave him guessing what you will say or mean. If you send him a text that he must respond to or meet with you to find out what you mean, this may intrigue him.

It can be something he wants to know or a bit flirty. There’s a good chance he will want to know what you have to say or have a need to hear more.

Examples include:

• You will never believe what I am wearing today.
• I have a secret, but I’ll only tell you if you promise to buy me coffee this weekend.
• Guess what crazy thing happened to me today? I’ll give you a hint: it involves a surprise.
• You won’t believe the decision I made today. Wanna take a guess?

Tip: A little mystery can spark curiosity, but make sure your message still invites a response.

4. Bedtime texts

Sending bedtime texts may be another way to make a guy like you over text. Giving him something to think about before he goes to sleep may also cause him to wake up thinking about you.

You can say something nice or tell him what you are thinking about before bed.

• I’m getting ready to sleep, but I can’t stop thinking about our last conversation.
• Before I go to bed, I want to share my favorite moment of the day with you.
• Imagine if we could have a late-night snack together right now. What would it be?

Tip: Positive or thoughtful bedtime messages can leave a lasting impression and keep the conversation warm.

5. Inquisitive texts

It is also okay to consider inquisitive texts when thinking about what type of texts to get him chasing you that you want to use. Ask him questions about his life and what he is doing.

Not only will this help you communicate effectively with each other, which is a significant component of a healthy relationship, but it will also help you learn more about him.

Examples include

• What was your favorite toy as a kid?
• If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
• What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?
• If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be?

Tip: Open-ended questions often lead to better conversations because they give the other person more to respond to.

6. Meme texts

When you don’t know what else to send, it is okay to send a meme. This may make him laugh, and he could also send one back to you so you can keep this line of communication open.

You may even laugh all day at the pictures and content you see.

Examples include:

• Can’t stop laughing at this meme! Thought you might enjoy it too.
• This meme perfectly sums up my day. How about yours?

What Are Common Texting Mistakes That Can Push a Guy Away?

While sending the right messages can help build attraction, certain texting habits can sometimes have the opposite effect. When trying to use texts to make him chase you, it is just as important to avoid behaviors that may make conversations feel forced or overwhelming.

One common mistake is over-texting. Sending multiple messages in a row without giving the other person time to reply can create pressure instead of excitement. Another issue is trying too hard to sound mysterious or playing mind games, which may make communication confusing rather than intriguing.

It is also wise to avoid moving into overly suggestive or intense messages too early, especially if you are still getting to know each other. Keeping your texts natural, respectful, and balanced allows the conversation to develop comfortably for both people.
