Polyamory is the practice of having multiple romantic partners with the knowledge and consent of all parties involved. Polyamorous relationships can take many forms; they may involve individuals in multiple relationships simultaneously or even a married partner.

Hence, polyamorous partners can marry each other, but they typically consider this an alternative form of marriage.
