As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I offer psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, and couples at my office in Old Town, Alexandria. Whether you are experiencing stress or want to explore a part of yourself, I would feel privileged to work with you. I have worked with individuals who have experienced difficult life transitions, relationship distress, childhood pain, depression, anxiety, and identity questions. I listen to client stories from an attachment-based framework and with the belief that secure relationships and connection foster optimal living. I consider my sessions to be interactive and collaborative.

As a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFT), I view emotions as central in the experience of self and partnership. I have found the EFT model to be a powerful method that can help couples repair hurts, understand behaviors better, and increase communication, security and connection in the relationship. Additionally, I am trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy and interweave the Gottman research-based interventions with EFT.
