James is a St. Joseph’s University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health, Counseling and Alcoholism and Addiction Counseling; Mercy University, Master of Science in Psychology, and a Master of Science from Iona University in Marriage and Family Therapy. He holds a Doctorate in Medical Health and Humanities from Drew University, focusing on Secondary Traumatization.
Internationally Certified Alcoholism and Drug Counselor (ICADC) and Credential Alcoholism Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC-II) from the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Formerly a staff member at the Family and Children’s Association, Hicksville Counseling Center as a Family, Individual and Group Psychotherapist.
