Trained and educated in a marriage and family, systemic educational background, I view the world from a systemic approach taking into account the impact our families or lack of family structure and relationships have had on our life. The early attachments, whether secure or insecure affect our present moments and how we interact on a day to day basis. Fascinating research is being conducted and research documents how we can impact and truly make changes to our daily life by the personal and significant emotional and relational interactions we choose to engage in with our loved ones and relational partners.
Our brains have proven to have what neuro-scientist call Neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity gives us the flexibility to change and adapt to positive events in our lives making new neural wiring changes in our brain pathways at the same time these repetitive emotional changes are occurring. Healthy, physical, mind, body, changes we make in daily lives are actually changing for the better our wiring in our brain for better relationships!
My therapy, practice and approach is based on a pluralistic model of collaborating with each client or family system, understanding, what your focus and goals are for therapy, and then collaborating together while creating an unique therapy map based on these stated goals.
