Life is all about relationships, and the relationship you have with your partner is one of your most important. You might find yourselves stuck in unhealthy communication patterns. You miss the closeness and connection you used to share. Maybe you are walking through life transitions, such as new children or empty nest, and having difficulty adjusting. As a couples therapist, your relationship is my client. I strive to remain unbiased and nonjudgmental as we unpack your problems and identify solutions. Together, we will work on building the insight and skills needed to improve your relationship.
I am certified in Prepare-Enrich and trained in a variety of couples therapy approaches. I specialized in couples therapy in grad school, and completed my doctoral dissertation on couples therapy. My approach focuses on increasing hope, building trust, intimacy, and communication skills, and forgiving hurts and offenses in the relationship. I welcome clients of all faiths and have special training in integrating Christian faith in therapy. I tailor my approach to meet your needs.
Taking the first step can be daunting, but I encourage you to reach out for help and support. Whether you just want to keep your relationship on the right track, or you are experiencing serious relationship problems, couples therapy can help you. You don’t have to be stuck in an unhappy relationship, feeling like things will never change or get better. I will come alongside you and fight for the good of your relationship.
