As a psychologist with 30 years of experience, I approach marital therapy as an opportunity for significant change and growth. My overall philosopy of counseling is that we are all capable of changing and becoming better people if we feel loved and accepted just the way we are. Couples need to learn how to respectfully communicate their true feelings without saying things they will regret later. I help couples find their best way of being with one another and to heal from the past. I take an Emotionally Focused Therapy approach to counseling and work towards restoring love, respect, and positive feelings in relationships. I follow the teachings of John Gottman and other marriage researchers and I utilize Christian counseling principles when working with Christian couples.
