Victoria is a licensed psychotherapist who works at the Counseling Center Group providing a wide range of therapeutic services to clients of all ages. She holds an LCPC license in Maryland and an LPC license in Virginia. Victoria has experience working with a variety of counseling concerns, but she has a particular interest in treating shame, trauma recovery, relational struggles, spirituality, and identity struggles. She has also worked extensively with victims of sexual abuse and sexual assault.
Victoria has a unique perspective and cultural competence, having grown up in Dubai and currently residing in the United States as a Kenyan. She believes in establishing a trusting and empathetic relationship with her clients and incorporates various therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, Client-Centered Therapy, and Existential Therapy.
Victoria holds an MSc. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary, and a Psychology undergraduate degree from Middlesex University in Dubai, U.A.E. She has completed intensive training in DBT and the DBT Prolonged Exposure Protocol for PTSD and is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Victoria is married and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as exploring plant-based food and the outdoors.
