Tom is a CASII (certifed addiction specialist) with a bachelors degree in Social Work from California State University of Los Angeles. He is the Outreach Coordinator for NOVUS Mindful Life Institute, which helps individuals affected by sex addiction. Tom has years of experience working in the social services and mental health fields including working with at-risk youth, in group home settings, in-patient and out-patient addiction services, and with the Forensic and incarcerated population inside Los Angeles County Jails. Tom created a community based addiction recovery/relapse prevention group called Recover To The Beat where clients could process their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, through a guided drum circle with group discussion and journaling to follow. Tom is also a part of a small family business named From War To Peace where recycled weapons of war are turned into jewelry and pieces of art all in the name of peace and nuclear disarmament. Tom is passionate about family, music, social justice, and helping others while on their journey to happiness and peace.
