I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (License #204080). As an LMFT Associate, I work with people to help identify how family systems we exist in influence our behavior and our relationship with others. When it comes to couples, I work to help them acknowledge their significant other’s emotional needs, while effectively communicating their personal needs as well. In various stages of any relationship, this encourages couples to break negative cycles that contribute to their conflicts.
My graduate internship was spent working with children and adolescents as a school counselor. I enjoyed teaching students coping skills to manage their behavioral health. It was in this internship that I learned how to use Art Therapy to promote self-expression. I also have experience working with adults with serious mental health diagnoses (Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia) using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My work is heavy on challenging negative thoughts that lead to maladaptive behaviors, and collaborative problem solving to improve the lives of my clients.
I treat individuals using Cognitive Behavioral interventions, couples and families with Emotionally Focused Therapy. As an associate, I work closely with my Supervisor to ensure I provide the best care possible to my clients. I believe the key to accomplishing your goals is to tap into your personal strengths and I take immense pleasure in leading you in this journey.
I received my BS in Psychology from Sam Houston State University in 2014, and an MS in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2018.
