Signy Fridriksson, LPCC, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ottawa, ON

I have an MA in Counselling and Spirituality, and a Graduate Diploma in Couple Counselling, plus training in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy). I offer Couple Counselling on my own, and also Two-on-Two Counselling with Steven Fick, my husband of 39 years. We are a real couple with a wealth of life experience and model a relationship strengthened by challenge. I/We take an eclectic approach to Couples Therapy, drawing on many mentors (Stan Tatkin, Terry Real, Ellyn Bader, Diane Poole Heller, Esther Perel and John Gottman, among others) to inform our counselling. I/We create a safe space within which you can rebuild the glue that holds your relationship together, as you gain deeper understanding and connection. I/We teach Communication Skills to help you express your joys and annoyances, your needs and desires in a way that is less likely to trigger your partner. I/We help you examine your current situation and past experiences helping you move toward a fulfilling life together.

Signy Fridriksson received a bachelor’s degree from the Simon Fraser University and completed her MA from the Saint Paul University.
