When coaching couples I focus on creating a space where the couples can begin to communicate with each other through a lens of compassion that takes into consideration the stories and history we bring into the relationship. I also work to help couples understand the filters through which they hear and listen to each other and themselves. In this work my clients are able to approach communication with a gentleness that can more-quickly deescalate and/or minimize tension.
