EDUCATION
Shane was awarded his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Orlando, Florida and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services from Belhaven University in Orlando, Florida. Shane was also awarded his coaching certification at the World Coaching Institute.
CREDENTIALS / AFFILIATIONS
Shane is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern working towards full licensure as an LMHC in the state of Florida while practicing under a qualified supervisor. Shane has also received a certification from the World Coaching Institute as a certified professional coach.
EXPERIENCE
Shane makes it his life’s purpose to witness inner-healing and a genuine life transformation in clients through their counseling and coaching experience. Shane has also worked in church ministry with men, women, and youth as well as a case manager in a faith-based organization with at-risk adolescents and young adults for some time and has seen that spiritual wisdom partnered with practical and professional counseling skills can transform the whole-person and improve their quality of well-being.
Shane is well versed in a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, anger management, grief, trauma, addictions, self-esteem issues, premarital counseling, and marriage and family counseling to include blended-families, divorce recovery, infidelity, and parenting issues. Shane is also a certified professional coach with a focus in leadership coaching, emotional IQ coaching, and career/ministry coaching.
PERSONAL
Shane was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and joined the United States Army after graduating high school. After his honorable service in the military he had moved to central Florida in 2008 as a single father with his beautiful 2-year-old daughter. Shane is now married to his beautiful wife and have 3 amazing children. Shane has always been involved in the helping profession in caring for others whether that be in church ministry as a Youth Director, as a case manager at Covenant House Florida, or providing services to veterans and their families with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
