Sara McCartney, LMHC, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Fayetteville, NC

About

I approach the practice of Individual, Marriage, and Family Counseling eclectically using Dialectical Behavior informed therapy as a baseline modality with an integrated perspective. I believe we live in a diverse culture and provides a holistic service integrating various humanistic, experiential, theoretical perspectives and approaches to counseling.
I believe that life is a mysterious journey that propels each individual person onto a path with no written instruction manual delineating exact courses for action. Everyone is born and everyone dies. Those are the two absolute truths about humans. There are certainly other truths. My life journey is to understand the mystery in life through introspection, contact with others, and communion with a spiritual essence while evolving, teaching, and modeling the process of change through knowledge within the family crucible. I have an unceasing belief in human potential. Intuitively I collaborate with others creatively tapping into unique positive life forces and an essence of goodness; preferring to teach others and train people to utilize empowering strategies for breaking bondage of blocked potential rather than spend time with administrative requirements. My vision for changing the world is through alliances with one individual and family at a time.
