Becuase marriages are all different, my work starts with defining with couples or one member who wants to work on the issues, what is important for them to change. They decide when they have reached their goals. My methods are strength based, utilizing the couple's resources, motivations, & desires to overcome the problems which are interfering with achieving the marital relationship they desire. Because most couples come into marital counseling in a crisis, I help couples address the crisis, but also emphasize that they have experienced a wonderfulness that ties them together too.
