I work with people facing multiple life issues. Specific among these are: Anger Management, Addictions, Anxiety, Depression, Marriage/Couples, Adolescents, Trauma, Parenting/Family Dynamics. While these are specific problems, counseling frequently focuses on more general difficulties interfering with our ability to thrive and be content. Therapy can, and should, be as much about reaching your potential as solving specific problems.
Therapy is difficult! My initial goal in treatment is to provide a positive, comfortable and non-judgmental atmosphere where clients can face difficult issues. While my focus is on current struggles and behaviors, the roots of our current problems sometimes lay in past hurts.
While I come from a Christian background and am able to counsel with individuals and couples from that point of view, I am welcoming to all regardless of their faith.
