Rebecca Lanier, MA, APC, AMFT is a psychotherapist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She graduated from Richmont Graduate University with her master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. Before her graduate studies, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Georgia where she specialized in Human Development and Family Science, Family Life Education, Entrepreneurship, and Intervention.
Rebecca specializes in social skills development, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, mood disorders, anger management, developmental and learning disorders, such as ADHD, family and life transitions, and other behavioral and familial difficulties. Rebecca also has experience facilitating process-oriented, therapeutic gaming, and social skills groups.
Rebecca aims to provide a safe and uplifting environment for clients to learn and practice social skills, foster their authentic self, gain insight regarding themselves and others, and build self-confidence. She utilizes an eclectic mixture of counseling techniques including cognitive-behavioral, experiential, solution-focused, play, and other creative therapeutic techniques while keeping the client’s specific needs and goals in mind. Rebecca enjoys drawing from an individual’s strengths and support network to find creative solutions to their goals.
