When it comes to Therapy, Porcha employs an eclectic style and tailors her therapeutic approach to meet the individual needs of the client. Her therapeutic approaches include, but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, and Brainspotting. Porcha believes that people need to feel safe and accepted in order for growth to occur in therapy. She has experience working with individuals, couples, families, groups, small children, teens, adolescents, adults, and military. Porcha especially enjoys working with children, and has training in Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Traumatized Children and their Families.
Porcha is a native of North Carolina, with an unique appreciation for the state of Texas. She is the mother of 3 daughters, and describes Motherhood as the greatest gift she's ever received. She has a strong interest in mentoring teenage girls, and plans to start a mentorship program in the future. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, listening to music, dancing, and cooking new recipes. When asked about her personal mantra, Porcha replied, “Be the author of your own story. Let no one write it for you”.
