Micah’s Training & Focus
Micah holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with specializations in Trauma Counseling and Sex Therapy, from Richmont Graduate University. He is an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia. He is certified as a PREPARE/ENRICH and Rightpath facilitator, is trained in EMDR II, Experiential Therapy, and is an Internal Family Systems Level 1 Practitioner.
Micah operates from a Family Systemic and attachment perspective where generational family dynamics and influences shape each person’s story and how they are in relationship with themselves and others. He primarily utilizes internal family systems and emotionally focused therapy approaches to help build awareness and create redemptive experiences.
Micah’s comes from a Christian background and enjoys working with families and couples. His focus focus is helping couples who want to understand and love their partner better to enhance their marriage; or couples, who are in conflictual relationships that are struggling with disconnection and isolation.
Micah enjoys the outdoors, exercising, adventuring, exploring ethnic cuisine, traveling, and sharing life with friends, family, and his wife.
