Culturally affirming, inclusive counseling for diverse Austinites.
If I have to boil down my work in one word, it would be “connection”. My passion is to help clients strengthen and deepen their relationship with themselves, and to those that are most important to them. My approach aims to get to the heart of the issue effectively and securely.
I work best with people and couples that are committed to break their painful, unproductive cycles and are ready to explore, change and expand. Many of my clients describe themselves as creatives, entrepreneurs, and bi/ multi-cultural.
I pursue specialized training in couples therapy because I believe all humxns deserve to be understood, accepted, loved, and to belong. We deserve to be freed from the pain of disconnection, and to be our true selves in meaningful, fulfilling relationships. Healthy couples relationships are also the building block for strong families and communities.
I describe my modality as systemic, culturally affirming, relational, intersectional, and strength-based. I’m formally trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and AEDP for Couples.
Earlier in my journey, I was an educator and entrepreneur (and continue to be). Today, I help adults and couples flourish in their holistic health, relationships, careers, and identities. My approach is grounded in my pursuit for social justice and the mission to promote healthy families.
