I am an experienced therapist, having been in practice in the Grater Baton Rouge area for 27 years. I focus on my clients' strengths and maximizing those strengths rather than attempting to identify client pathology. Presenting problems are viewed within the context of the clients entire life. Although some clients may require medication to fully address their needs, I see this as a last resort. I have a special interest in working with couples. With couples, I don't try to be a judge or referee but help couples to find new ways to resolve their own issues. I rely heavily on Gottman Method Couples Therapy, a research based approach. I have been successful in working with individuals, couples, and families with a wide variety of presenting problems including emotional, behavioral, relationship, and substance abuse issues. I hold two licenses in the State of Louisiana including Licensed Professional Counselor (Lic# 1734) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Lic# 99). I am also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).
