Hello, my name is Lucy Bailey, and I am independently licensed to provide psychotherapy in the state of Kentucky as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My passion and fascination have always been for people and their story. I received a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, in the city of New York. I have also served as an adjunct professor for the school of social work at the University of Kentucky, teaching masters level students social welfare policy and analysis, and the importance of advocacy.

I've been practicing therapy in the mental health field since 2012 and am trained to address a wide range of social and emotional issues. I implement evidence-based practice, utilizing therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, TFCBT, motivational interviewing, family systems, client centered therapy, strength based, and short-term solution focused therapy.

My work as a psychotherapist is rooted in honoring the complexities of our messy life stories with gentleness, empathy, and hope. After all, hope is a way of thinking, a cognitive process, in which I can make space for you to be valued, heard, seen, and ultimately safe to explore patterns of behavior that no longer serve you in achieving your desired goals.
