Hey there! I'm Lauren Tademy (she/her), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (#204647). I am supervised by Thelma Rouse Ph.D, LPC-S, LMFT-S (#202954).
I am a patient, curious, and humorous counselor who works to empower my clients in achieving their goals and developing healthier relationships.
I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I then went on to Texas Woman’s University and earned a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have extensive experience in mental health including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings. The diversity of my work experiences has equipped me to better support individuals, couples, and families with a variety of individual and relationship needs.
I work from a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed perspective with teens, adults, and couples managing anxiety, depression, identity issues, and relationship difficulties. My specific niches are in working with ethnic and sexual minorities, childhood and betrayal trauma, and communication and intimacy issues. I believe everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and understood in their relationships and I am committed to creating those dynamics in our therapeutic relationship to work toward developing them in your personal relationships.
I am passionate about empowering those I come in contact with and would be honored to accompany you on your path toward healing and overall wellness!
