My approach to marriage therapy is to help couples learn how to communcate effectively to address the challenges they encounter in their relationship. I encourage partners to take responsibility for initiating constructiive actions, express appreciation and gratitude for their partner's constructive actions and own up when they fall into negative patterns of interaction. My work is informed by research on the factors that contribute to healthy relationships, which has been shown to promote good physical and mental health. Through awareness and putting into action the ingredients to sucessful relationships, my hope to to help couples re-capture the positive emotional connection that brought them together in the first place.
