My person-centered approach is to be present to each spouse and hold the marriage while listening intentionally to the uniqueness of that person's narrative (story) within one’s intrapersonal ("inside me"), interpersonal (" among us") and the transpersonal ("beyond and above us") context. The content of what each person shares is very important but even more vital is both the energy exchanged and the meaning they make individually and together out of their transitions through life’s stages as well as their experiences with the inherent challenges of facing losses and grief and the opportunities for growth, strength development, resiliency and formation.
I take a a bio-psycho-social-cultural-spiritual perspective to empower each person
as well as the marriage to release one's inner leader, basic trust and inner wisdom for the competent use of one’s self in developing fulfilling spiritual, marital, parental, and vocational relationships.
