I’m a Clinical Psychologist in private practice and I work with people of all ages in individual, couples and family therapy. I have been a Licensed Psychologist for 20+ years and obtained my doctorate from Boston University and underwent my clinical training at the Beth Israel Hospital. I specialize in working with people who are dealing with relationship concerns. My approach is primarily insight-oriented and I am certified by the Psychodynamic Couples and Family Institute of New England to provide therapy to couples to families. My work begins with a thorough assessment of the couples issues which takes about 3 sessions, and involves learning about their current relational difficulties but also each of their respective personal histories and what they bring into the marriage. We then set goals for our work together and meet on a biweekly basis to work on them. The goal of our work is to enhance our understanding of the couples relationship dynamics and what dysfunctional patterns have gotten created that can be identified and transformed. We also work on skill development in terms of improving communication styles, learning to set healthy boundary and creating a happy home life. Most couples can make significant progress within a 3 to 6 month period. More entrenched issues can take longer and we might complement our work with books or attendance at seminars and workshops. I am currently only offering my services by way of Telehealth using a HIPPA-approved platform.
