If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in painful patterns, or carrying the weight of grief, trauma, or big life transitions, you’re not alone. Relationships can feel confusing, communication can shut down, and even sleep or self-care can start to slip. I offer a compassionate, steady space to sort through what hurts and to rediscover what helps.

I love working with individuals, couples, and families—including LGBTQ+ couples, high-conflict partners, premarital and interfaith pairs, military families, and those healing after divorce—who are ready to grow, even if they’re not sure where to start.

I’m Dr. Adam Coffey, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Texas with 35 years of experience. My approach blends care with practical tools: Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method to repair bonds and build healthy patterns, Narrative Therapy to help you reauthor your story, and mindfulness and self-compassion to ease anxiety and shame. I support healing from abuse and trauma (including rape and sexual assault), anxiety (GAD, social), depression, attachment wounds, infidelity and commitment issues, communication struggles, blended family and parenting challenges, perfectionism and self-criticism, life purpose and transitions, sleep and stress concerns, spirituality, giftedness, weight and wellness, and women’s issues. I provide therapy in English.

If this resonates, I’d be honored to meet you. Reach out, and let’s take the first gentle step together.
