Relationships can bring us our greatest joy. Loving relationships are beneficial-people live longer, experience less stress, and feel a greater sense of satisfaction in their life. What if your relationship is in distress? Close, intimate, connected relationships are tended to be like a garden and many of us don't know how to tend to it. Couples get lost in a negative cycle, or dance. One partner says something hurtful, the other reacts. It continues to bounce back and forth untilit escalates in to an argument. Leading partners to disconnect either by giving in, shutting down or walking away, destructfully creating a downward cycle. Over time this pattern begins to erode the closeness, feelings of fondness, and the love that once existed. Dearbone Counseling Center first goal is preventive maintenance through couples therapy and other relationship exercises to create a healthy, loving, safe and secure relationship with one another.
