Humans want and need intimate connection to others in order to thrive. But intimacy requires vulnerability, and vulnerability can be scary, so we find ways to protect ourselves. Sometimes, the strategies we've adopted to protect ourselves create barriers between us and our parters, causing conflict and strife in our closest relationships. I help people of any genders in their marriages and committed relationships, using a combination of Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and emotion-focused techniques, to create safety between them, so they can be vulberable and thus open and authentic, and can create the loving connection they seek.
