My goal is to approach people with empathy, respect, and dignity. I use an eclectic approach incorporating client centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive psychotherapy, and psychoanalytic therapy. I have over 25 years of experience providing counseling services to couples. I worked in a family services agency and two mental health centers after I completed my Master's degree, 1992-1996. I completed my PhD from North Carolina State University from 1996-1999. Upon graduating, I opened my private practice in May 1999 have been in private practice ever since. I recently self published a book entitled, "Affirmative Parenting," which is available on Amazon. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor.
