I help couples who seek a stronger connection and more effective communication stop the endless cycle of get angry, argue, feel terrible and lonely, sweep under the rug, ignore, move on and repeat after promises to not do it again.
What I find couples struggling with most is communication about the stuff that lies just beneath the surface. This leads to feelings of not being understood or known by their partners. But sometimes, it may also feel unsafe to reveal self fully to their partner whether due to past trauma or emotional instabilty in the relationship. I work to help couples work through these challenges using Emotionally Focused Therapy as my guide.
