Arlene Malone is the founder of Marriage Center, a Christian Marriage Counseling practice in Chesapeake, VA. Arlene is a Christian and Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Supervisor, and Inspirational Speaker who is passionate about the integrity of the marital relationship. Arlene is committed to helping couples build a solid foundation for a strong and loving marriage. Arlene counsels to inspire husbands and wives to resolve conflicts and to accomplish lasting change. She works with both married couples and men and women who are preparing for marriage.

Arlene's mission is to partner with couples and churches to strengthen and restore marriages by providing counsel based on the scriptures of the Bible; teaching and training couples in the day-to-day application of God’s Word, thus enhancing spiritual connectedness; and assisting in conflict resolution and reconciliation. The ultimate goal is for husbands and wives to honor and glorify God and bear witness to His love and power.

In addition to providing individual and couples counseling, Arlene writes, develops marital and premarital programs, and provides workshops on marriage enrichment. Her pursuit of professional excellence and empirically validated treatments are integrated with foundational beliefs of Christian faith.

Arlene believes that it is impossible for husbands and wives to experience true oneness and the intimacy that God designed for them without Him being at the very heart and center of their relationship. Her approach to counseling is marriage-focused and Christ-centered. Her clients learn to replace unhealthy behaviors with Christ-like and God-honoring behaviors that produce lasting change. They end up functioning as a unified team, accomplishing their purposes, individually and as a couple, and experiencing true love, joy, and unity.
