After serving in the U.S. Air Force, I got my start in 2003 at an Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy program. I worked as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor for 6 years while pursuing my education. I obtained a BA in Psychology in 2005, and Masters in Social Work in 2008 from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have worked with adults, children and families in the San Antonio area since 2008. I became a Registered Play Therapist in 2015. I use expressive therapies: (art, play and sand tray) with children and adults as well. As a former medic and daughter of a nurse, I have an interest in health and medical issues. I am the spouse of a fire fighter and was an EMT briefly myself so I relate well to first responders and their families. I enjoy helping people expereincing grief/loss, stress, and life changes.
