Alexandra Thompson is a Licensed Therapist through the realm of Clinical Social Work (LCSW). She has experience working with culturally diverse populations both in New York City and Atlanta. Consequently, her heart as a therapist and Director is to create a beautiful and warm space for all people to experience quality mental health care, regardless of income level or life circumstances. Her desire through therapy is to help all people connect closer with God, themselves, and those around them. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship creates a safe place for individuals to learn and grow in their ability to have trusting, deep relationships with others. Her genuine, kind, and non judgmental personality allows opportunity for the individual to explore the depths of who they are and who they are created to be. Alex offers a Christian perspective, should her clients choose to incorporate this into their therapy, however all faith identities are invited into session in any way that feels appropriate to them. Alex’s therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based interventions that derive from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, among others. She is also trained in EMDR.
