Dr. Janelle Johnson, PhD, LPC, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, counselor educator, author, and mental health expert with more than 15 years of clinical counseling experience. She is the founder of Life Balance Counseling, a private mental health practice established in 2011. Her areas of expertise include relationships, anxiety, grief and loss, family dynamics, emotional wellness, life transitions, self-worth, and personal growth.
Dr. Johnson believes healthy relationships are strengthened through self-awareness, effective communication, emotional understanding, and recognition of the patterns that influence how people connect with one another. Her integrative, person-centered approach draws from evidence-based counseling practices to help individuals and couples navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and work toward meaningful change.
Dr. Johnson earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Grand Canyon University and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University. She also serves as an Online Adjunct Instructor at Grand Canyon University.
