My philosophy is one in which I beleive my clients have their own answers and processes to healing, and with therapeutic supports can find healing and improvement in their relationships and lives. It is my job to create a safe and supportive space to help clients explore, discuss, and find those answers within. I utilize empirical methods as well as mind-body, wholistic approaches to therapy. Although we have science and studies to help guide us as to successful treatment methods, we are also dealing with humans who are each unique in their own DNA, life events and experiences. I have a background in gerontology (healthy aging), and have also worked in the areas of trauma, grief support, and crisis counseling. I allow clients to work at their own pace within their own comfort levels, and enjoy collaborating with my clients in achieving their desired relational goals.
