Helping clients find peace, happiness, and reaching their goals is my focus, using a variety of resources including laughter, mindfulness, education, and understanding. Helping clients find their true selves beyond anxiety and depression is a passion, as is assisting clients with their social skill development in a world that has replaced face to face human interaction with screens.
My approach to counseling is tailored to each individual client. I am is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a mode of treatment originally designed to treat trauma but has now been found as effective for most mental health issues. I also like to include mindfulness as a way to find peace.
I started out as a people person! Even before I was a counselor I found myself in jobs geared toward understanding people and empowering them to be great. I worked in recruiting for 16 years before coming back to my passion of mental health wellness and bring a lifetime of experience along with my training to help my clients.
