I believe that therapy is most effective when you begin feeling comfortable enough with your therapist to share the uncomfortable. I approach therapy with an open, caring, and down-to-earth perspective so that we can build a genuine and authentic therapeutic relationship. I enjoy helping people understand the connections between past experiences and current cycles of thinking and feeling. Connecting these dots empowers us, as humans, to heal old wounds and establish a healthy mindset for a brighter future as we navigate complex emotional experiences.
I work with both individuals and couples. For individuals, I specialize in navigating depression, processing past trauma, improving self-worth, and developing healthier relationships with self and others. For couples, my expertise surrounds topics of re-building trust, navigating sexual concerns, learning to respect each other's differences, and improving communication.
My therapy style is eclectic: I pull from various evidence-based modalities of therapy such as solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and more. This is done with intention, to be able to center our sessions around you as an individual with your own unique set of goals. Successful or "good" therapy requires a team effort! With your personal expertise on your life, my professional insights, and our combined efforts; you will be able to both heal and thrive.
