It can be incredibly painful when the person you love most feels more like a roommate or an adversary. If you and your partner are feeling disconnected, stuck in the same repetitive arguments, or struggling to find your way back to each other after a breach of trust, please know there is a clear and effective path forward. Choosing to enter marriage counseling is a courageous act of hope for your relationship.
My approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most successful and well-researched methods available for couples. EFT is based on the science of adult attachment—our fundamental human need to feel safe, seen, and secure with our partner. My goal isn’t to teach you how to argue better, but to help you change the emotional music of your relationship, transforming distress into a deep and resilient connection.
In our sessions, we will work collaboratively and without blame to understand the negative cycle that has taken over your relationship. First, we’ll map out this pattern to see how you both get stuck. Then, we’ll gently explore the more vulnerable emotions that lie beneath the surface of the conflict. This understanding allows you to start responding to each other in new, positive ways that build trust and pull you closer together.
As an EFT-trained therapist, I have specific experience helping couples navigate the most difficult challenges, including healing from infidelity, rekindling emotional and sexual intimacy, improving communication, and navigating difficult life transitions as a team. In addition to EFT training, I am also a trained sex therapist skilled in supporting couples through sexual problems and dysfunctions.
The ultimate goal is to help you create a secure, loving bond that can weather life's storms. If you are ready to invest in your relationship and find your way back to connection, I invite you to contact me. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and see if we are a good fit for this important work.
