I am a qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, Mediator and Counsellor with a Psychology background.
I am skilled in communication skills, developing respectful and enduring relationships including assisting with anger management, self esteem, trauma, depression and other issues that impact relationships.
I believe in trying to preserve the marriage where possible, and that every effort should be made to resolve conflict that arises within an existing relationship. The benefits of maintaining a family unit that has been built over many decades with treasured memories, hopes and dreams, are immeasurable.
I have been working with couples, individuals and groups for over 20 years. I am committed to helping couples learn to really understand each other and acquire the tools to resolve conflict effectively. This renews existing relationships and, If the couple have separated, and they wish to try to reconcile, I will gladly help them to resolve the issues that led to their separation.
I am aware of the numerous losses that couples will inevitably face when they separate. I also know that in many instances the issues are very resolvable, and an experienced and skilled marriage counsellor is imperative to help them move through those issues successfully. If a couple has separated and decided not to reconcile, I can also help them to understand what in their relationship has led to the separation, how to manage the separation, and their children's interests positively.
