Hello.
I take an individual approach to treating each couple, but for the most part, I take an Emotionally Focused Therapy approach to treating couples which looks at relationships through an attachment lens to help couples get reconnected, to feel more understood, to understand their partners better, and to arrest the negative interaction cycle that can get in the way of connection.
My degree track was Marraige and Family Therapy at the University of Florida (2002). I am dual my licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental health Counseling, and I am a Nationally Certified Counselor. I am a Lifetime Member of ICEEFT, I am a Clinical member of AAMFT, and I belong to NBCC. I have been in private practice since 2008.
My training includes:
EFT (externship, core skills, multiple advanced trainings, and years of supervision working towards certification)
Building Lasting Connections Facilitator trained
Gottman (Levels I & II)
