When I am working with couples I'm starting with understanding strengths and connections and what sustains them. How has their vision of being together changed and what is a pathway to healing and recovery. Sometimes it's about rebuilding their foundation, recognizing the external forces that have affected them. It's vital for each partner to take responsibility and be committed to change. Compassion, acceptance and a vision of the future can support compromise. The ability to be vulnerable can open up hearts and minds and facilitate change.
