My clinical passions are drawn from my personal experiences of growing up in a dysfunctional family. I didn’t have the space, nor was I encouraged to process the hurts I experienced. Instead, I internalized them, which translated to years of unrealized self-harm. I had low self-esteem, struggled with depression, anxiety, setting boundaries and perfectionism.

I believe that what we do flows from who we are. And it was with the help of a counselor I was able to uncover unhealthy narratives I believed, while doing the work of learning how to implement healthier ways of loving myself and others. It is a process that takes work but in the end, results in healing, resilience and growth.
