I use Emotional Focused Therapy with couples. Often times it's the way each partner communicates and the other partner is hearing something different than what was meant by the speaker. It sometimes is a resentment that is being held on to that needs to be forgiven, blocking couples from loving each other freely. I try to enhance communication while teaching couples to express feelings so that they can feel heard and understood better.
I work with individuals that are single or married struggling with relational problems, anxiety, depression, grief, substance advise problems and PTSD.
