Cari S Cruckson MA, LMFT has been assisting children, adolescents, and families for over 20 years. Her experience includes providing support to those navigating the educational and juvenile justice systems, as well as treatment in various outpatient and community settings. Cari has therapeutic interests in the areas of cognitive behavioral therapy, parenting and family issues, child and adolescent development, and clinical interests in the areas of ADHD, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders and trauma. Cari strongly believes in the power of hope and principles of recovery for the treatment of mental illness.
Cari’s goal is to provide a safe space for clients to feel seen and heard. She successfully helps treat children during transitional periods (adolescence/young adulthood), as well as during difficult times (divorce and grief). Her treatment approach is to come alongside clients on their journey to wellness, using traditional and non-traditional interventions
Reaching out for help takes courage. It can be daunting to face the things you’ve been avoiding. Cari acknowledges the courage it takes to start looking for help. Through positive interventions and education, one can learn to approach and engage the world. Cari teaches children and young adults to find success even in the presence of difficulty and hardship.
