I am a licensed couples and sex therapist in Washington, D.C.. I help couples to identify and heal the underlying pain that often fuels relationship distress. Using a systemic frame, I help clients to view their experiences within the multiple contexts that inform their lives including: gender, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, disability and sexual orientation among others. For many couples, relational distress and sexual problems are negatively intertwined. My experience is that addressing relational concerns alone does not necessarily fix intimacy issues and vice versa. Therefore, my approach is to meaningfully address both by helping each partner to grow individually and within the couple relationship. My ultimate goal is to help couples to strengthen trust and intimacy and find the deep emotional connection that they long for.
