If you’re feeling anxious, depressed, or stretched thin—through new parenthood, adoption, a blended family, military life, or faith questions—you don’t have to carry it alone. Many people I meet feel stuck in worry, low mood, or shaky attachment. Together we’ll steady the ground, make sense of what hurts, and strengthen coping skills.
I work with individuals and couples, including premarital and interfaith partners and military families. I’m especially drawn to supporting mothers and parents from conception through two years postpartum, as well as adoptive and blended families.
I’m Desiree Walls, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 4+ years of experience and certified in perinatal mental health. My style is warm and collaborative. We’ll use practical tools to shift patterns (CBT, Solution-Focused), make room for hard feelings while honoring your values (ACT), rewrite stuck stories (Narrative Therapy), and explore inner parts with care (IFS). For couples, I draw on marriage and family work to strengthen connection. Christian counseling is available by request; all identities and beliefs are welcome.
