If you’re carrying hurt from trauma, feeling anxious or depressed, stuck in conflict or control, facing addiction in yourself or a loved one, or trying to blend a family and can’t find your footing—you’re not alone. Relationships are messy, and it’s brave to ask for help.

I love working with individuals, couples, and families—including high-conflict couples, premarital (including interfaith) partners, and military families—who are ready to turn pain into growth. Together, we’ll heal abandonment and attachment wounds, untangle codependency, strengthen communication, and create steadier coping skills. I welcome people of all identities and backgrounds.

I’m Candace Deese, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with more than 10 years of experience. My style is warm, practical, and collaborative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for concrete tools, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to care for the parts of you that carry hurt, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to amplify strengths, and the Gottman Method and family systems to help couples and families reduce conflict and reconnect. If your Christian faith is important, I’m comfortable integrating it; if not, we’ll keep the focus exactly where you need it.

If this resonates, I’d be honored to talk. Reach out for an initial intake call—English or Spanish—and let’s take the next gentle step together.
