I have been working with couples for many years, to reignite mutual love and develop skills of communication. I utilize Cognitive Interpersonal Therapy (CIT) to assist couples in becoming much closer and loving toward one another. CIT, created by Dr. David Burns, is a model of therapy in which each person must take responsibility for their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a relationship.

Understanding of their partner, rather than demanding to be understood
Assertive, rather than being aggressive
Strengths-focused, rather than being fixated on partner deficits
Aware of their own triggers, rather than controlling of others
