Tessa has had a versatile work history that has allowed her to work in a variety of settings including an adolescent residential treatment center, private practice and university offices, community health care clinics, and a church counseling center. She brings experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a wide-ranging span of clinical issues. She specializes in helping clients resolve difficulties related to: anxiety and depression, marital intimacy and trust, life cycle transition, family/relationship discord and communication, grief and loss, infertility, post-affair recovery, and behavioral issues. Tessa has a passion in restoring hope through reconciliation and in teaching tools for balanced healthy living, spiritual integration, and increased life satisfaction.
When working with couples and families, Tessa uses a family systems perspective, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. She is a Certified PREPARE-ENRICH Counselor and can provide pre-marital counseling and assessment as well.
